                                                  4th Grade 2007-2008

  Dear Parents,

It is so hard to believe  that  our school year is coming to a close!     This has been such a great year for me, and I hope it has been equally as good for you and your child!  Our class has really come together as a team.  I am extremely proud of the way they work with one another cooperatively.  They have come a long way since August in that respect!  Looking back at our progress from the beginning of 4th grade until now, I am so excited about the growth I have seen- in their learning, maturity, and social interaction.  You, as parents, are doing a great job with your kids!

Your children are so precious to me and I see them being successful in the years to come.  As parents, we have to remember the self-fulfilling prophecy-the kids will only get as far as we think they will and how we treat them-I think they are able to reach the stars!  They are open to ideas, creative, hopeful, and have positive attitudes-we need to foster that and continue to feed their imaginations and support them in the things they are passionate about.  If you need ideas for that, please let me know!  I am happy to partner with you in that endeavor.

It is very emotional for me to think about these kids moving on.  They have a very special place in my heart.  I know they will all be successful in 5th grade!  I have found something in each child that is very special to me.  For some of them it is an obvious trait that you may see, but for some it is something that I have noticed in the classroom that makes them special only to me.  Thank you for sharing your child with me this year.  I wouldn’t have traded one of them!  J
